Our journey began much like many others in corporate America, where we were living the quintessential American dream with the white picket fence, a beloved dog, and beautiful children. In 2015, we celebrated a significant milestone by closing on our first property, feeling a sense of accomplishment and security. However, we soon realized that relying solely on a job for our financial security was a risky endeavor. When faced with corporate burnout and unexpected job loss, we found ourselves in a precarious situation with no backup plan.
